Smiley Children Society Celebrates Years of Community Service by Advancing Education and Child Welfare
Mandapeta, Andhra Pradesh: Since its founding on January 19, 2019, Smiley Children Society has remained dedicated to creating meaningful opportunities for children through education, community engagement, and social service. Led by Founder Prudhvi Moses, the organization has continued to expand its educational initiatives, helping children from economically weaker sections access quality learning and essential support.
Operating from its Head Office in Mandapeta, with branch offices in Angara (East Godavari District) and Pothavaram (West Godavari District), Smiley Children Society has established itself as a grassroots organization focused on educational empowerment and child development.
One of the society’s most impactful initiatives is assisting children from underprivileged families with admission to government schools. Through regular village visits and awareness campaigns, volunteers identify children who are not enrolled in school, counsel parents about the importance of education, and assist them with admission procedures and documentation. These efforts have helped many families overcome practical barriers to education.
The initiative has been appreciated by Headmaster Swamy Narayan, who recognized the dedication of Smiley Children Society’s volunteers and praised Prudhvi Moses for his leadership in promoting educational inclusion.
“Education is one of the greatest gifts we can offer a child. Our mission is to ensure that no child is deprived of learning opportunities because of financial or social challenges. Every student who enters a classroom represents hope for a brighter future,” said Prudhvi Moses.
Beyond school admissions, Smiley Children Society conducts free evening tuition classes in Angara, where students receive additional academic guidance in subjects they find challenging. The classes are designed to strengthen conceptual understanding, improve examination performance, and build confidence among young learners.
To ensure that children can focus on their studies without worrying about hunger, the organization also provides free dinner after each tuition session. This initiative has become an important source of support for families facing financial difficulties while encouraging students to attend classes regularly.
Smiley Children Society also advocates for improving the quality of early childhood education. During educational events, including programs held at ZPHS Angara, Prudhvi Moses has emphasized the importance of introducing activity-based learning, storytelling, educational games, creative classroom exercises, and visual teaching aids in Anganwadi centres. According to him, such approaches can make learning more engaging and help children develop confidence, creativity, and a lifelong interest in education.
In addition, the organization regularly donates educational materials, classroom equipment, and learning resources to schools that are committed to creating child-friendly learning environments.
Looking to the future, Smiley Children Society aims to expand its educational outreach, strengthen partnerships with schools and community organizations, and encourage more volunteers to participate in its mission. Through sustained efforts in education, nutrition, and child welfare, the organization continues to contribute to building stronger communities and empowering the next generation across Andhra Pradesh.
